Course contents

A series of seven double-lectures is given on the following subjects:

• Structure of materials;
• Metallurgy I;
• Metallurgy II;
• Polymer science;
• Concrete and glass;
• Composites;
• Thematic lecture aimed at the research.

Study goals

• Knowledge of science of materials and relevance for building technology- Knowledge of properties of materials
• Knowledge of structure of materials
• Knowledge of the relationship between properties of materials and structure of materials
• Knowledge of the possibilities for influencing the structure
• Skills in performing elementary research into materials as evidenced by a written report on a small-scale science of materials research project.
